OBJETIVES AND METHODOLOGY
Primary school age is when students start to learn and write in English. They slowly widen their vocabulary and learn how to correctly use basic grammar structures in both spoken and written English. Throughout these years, the students have the opportunity to do two official exams (STARTERS and MOVERS), which motivate them to keep learning and become more interested in the language
Our methodology is based a holistic approach to learning, as we focus on the students’ listening, reading and writing skills as well as oral comprehension. Our small groups help children to express themselves with other students (there are a lot of activities in pairs or in small groups) and with the teacher who will always be their guide and help them throughout the course. Our classes are dynamic, engaging and fun, as we are equipped with interactive projectors and we also use a range of different materials such as course books, online resources, extra materials and games which provide the platform for all students to learn in their own way.
We provide continuous evaluation as every week students are given homework so they can review and reinforce what they have learnt in class. Regularly, short tests and exams are given to monitor how the students are progressing in their groups. Throughout the course, families will have the opportunity to have two meetings with the teacher to talk about their kids’ progress.
